Thanks for attending MABIP2017!
Dear MABIPians, delegates and speakers,
Thank you for making MABIP2017 at Le Meridien Putrajaya such a success!
We trust that you had as great of an experience as we did and that you will join us in Alor Setar, Kedah for MABIP2018. Alor Setar is only about 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur by air.
MABIPians are the lifeblood of our organisation. Without our members, the MABIP would be nothing and we appreciate your support over the past 4 years.
Even at this stage, we feel it is not too early to be thinking about next year's conference and we have already lined up some exciting new sessions including:
Multidisciplinary case-based approach for the management of patients with early stage lung cancer. The management of early stage lung cancer need not be confined to lung resection only. Pulmonologists might be treating very early stage lung cancer in the future.
Multidisciplinary case-based approach in diagnostic dilemma in ILD. We hope to hear further updates on the global IPF research that was presented by Dr Ali Musani during MABIP2017.
Interventional Pulmonology: Bronchoscopic approaches for peripheral nodules continue to evolve and we will hear a lot more of these. Transbronchial cryolung biopsy techniques have now been standardised and we will hear the White paper recommendations and all the 'good, the bad and the ugly' side of this technique. Treatment for severe asthma beyond inhalers will take us to an evidence-based approach including the precise role of biologics and the latest data on bronchial thermoplasty.
Sleep medicine: We will hear the interventional aspects of sleep medicine such as sleep endoscopy, tracheobronchomalacia etc.
Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET): Our pulmonary physiology-trained pulmonologists will conduct CPET crossfire session to improve our understanding and interpretation of CPET.
Fellows Case Reports: Pulmonary fellows will be invited to present interesting case reports with literature review.
Of course, live case, hands-on workshop and free paper will be there as usual.
Please keep an eye out for an email from us or visit our website for more information regarding MABIP2018.
